Think a water bar would fly in Toledo? - 80 types of bottled water that ranges anywhere from $30-$55 a bottle? At first I thought I was reading an article from the Onion or something, but nope...this is a real place.

Mulberry Jam - It's that time of year again, and Mulberry trees are just busting with berries this year. I took the dog for a walk and found 4 nice trees, and to my surprise even 8-9 raspberry bushes :)

Looking for fresh milk - I don't mean from the store or the fridge either.
As a kid I remember visiting my Uncle in the country and we always took empty bottles with us because we would always visit a local dairy and get milk fresh from the tap, the cream rosle to the top (it was pasturized). So, does anybody here know where one can buy milk directly from the dairy?

Are there any kielbasa experts out there? - Here's my problem, since I've moved to Arlington, VA (DC area) I have not been able to find kielbasa like I'm used to eating in Toledo ( what you would find at Stanley's or Lee Williams).

Burger King Sued For Trans Fats by Our Old Friends - The place that was created under the Clintons-'THE CENTER FOR SCIENCE IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST'. You may recall-they're the ones solely responsible for taking away coconut oil to make movie theatre popcorn (which is why it tastes like shit now), also claiming virtually every food known to man will kill you-Oriental, Italian, Sea Food, Mexican, etc;etc.

Potato Pancakes - I was greatly distressed today to find that one of my favorite dishes was not to be had. When my wife and I arrived at the Griddle Cake at Alexis and Monroe it had been transformed into a Polish restaurant.

Tainted Wheat Gluten In Human Food - Don't eat that spaghetti! It was bad enough when it was Fido and Fluffy. Now it's Mike and Marie! The FDA just plain isn't getting the job done.

Skinless AND boneless Whiting Fillets? - Aldi's used to carry skinless and boneless whiting fillets for $3.29, but have discontinued for several weeks now. The cashiers had no clue as to why or how I could go about inquiring to management, and since finding Jimmy Hoffa's remains is easier than find ANY of Aldi's phone numbers, I'd like to know if the Toledo Talk family can recommend any stores that carry BOTH skinless and boneless whiting fillets.

tipping - What is a good method for calculating a decent tip? Also for tips for delivery drivers. My mother is such a pincher she accually has one of those little tip calculators and leaves the exact amount down to the penny. I like to think that im a decent tipper but i thought i'd ask.

Community Supported Agriculture - If you don't have the space, time, or desire to maintain your own garden, but you would like to have fresh, locally-grown produce, consider becoming a member of the Ten Mile Creek CSA farm in Berkey and have fresh produce delivered weekly to your door during the growing season.

Zingo's Mediterranean in Perrysburg - Hey, I heard about this new Mediterranean restaurant in Perrysburg called Zingo's, serving gyros, chicken tawook, grape leaves, hummus and the like. It's supposed to be a small cafe-like environment. People keep saying great things about the food. Has anyone else heard anything about this place?

Salaam: Middle Eastern Restaurant - Recently my girlfriend and I visited an interesting place to eat called Salaam-- which I believe is a greeting in a middle eastern tongue-- it's new to the area but according to the owner it's been in the making for several years. The food which is served ranges from middle eastern to Greek to pizza and hosts a variety of other services which I will delve into later. The owner is a regular customer to the store I work at and so that's how I came to know of this place, based on what I was told and the menu I was shown I decided to go check it out. The following is my opinion broken down into four categories: Atmosphere, Food Quality, Price and Service.
