Botanical Gardens - Reason #101 why Toledo is great. It was beautiful out today so I thought it would be a perfect time to go to the Botanical Gardens for my first time. Like normal I was equipped with my camera and took many pictures.

Sandusky Register Publishes CCW Lists - In his infinite wisdom (and no doubt an attempt to bolster circulation) the Editor of the Sandusky Register, Matt Westerhold, published a comprehensive list of concealed weapons licensees for the counties served by the Register. (You may recall that WNWO Channel 24 also did this awhile back to bolster their ratings. Ummmm...still not doing too well, are they?)

Kelley's Island - I recently returned from Put in Bay and was wondering about Kelly's Island and how it compares to PiB. Does Kelly's have a lot to see and do? Is it family oriented? I've visited the website but would to hear from someone who's been there. Is it worth my time?

July 1 -Day Of Defiance in England - Civil Disobedience - English pub owners have designated Sunday, July 1st as the Day Of
Defiance! and plan to openly defy a ban that they feel was rammed
down their throats on the basis of lies and political maneuvering.
They'll be joined by pubs in Scotland and Wales and there is now a
growing movement to see bars and other businesses in other countries
join them in a show of solidarity and support.

Smoking only costs $40 a pack if you include all cost. - See, it's cheap.
So $4/pack is a freaking bargain. Like you're only paying 10% of the real cost to enjoy them rich noxious nerve gases. Yum!

Numbers on Toledo's continual population decline - "Toledo's population loss since 2000 was the 10th-fastest among 258 U.S. cities with populations of more than 100,000 people. Toledo's population fell from 313,782 residents in 2000 to an estimated 298,446 last July, a loss of 15,336 people, or 4.9 percent. The new estimate means Toledo's population declined by 2,839 people one year - from 301,285 in July, 2005. A bright spot[???] is that, at 0.94 percent, the estimated population decline is slower than the 1.1 percent decline posted this time last year."

News coverage of tonight's storm - The storm(s) that rolled through around dinnertime tonight produced some thunder, lightning and somewhat heavy rain. At 6:30, Channel 11 was still on the air with special coverage. I turned to Channel 13 and they weren't covering it, the national news was on. I don't know how long 11 was on with the coverage because I turned it off. Now come on - this was your typical storm that pops up during the summer in muggy weather. Now I suppose WTOL will be on the air with commercials tomorrow saying how they were the only channel to provide special coverage. I am getting so tired of it! Anybody else with me?

Looking for fresh milk - I don't mean from the store or the fridge either.
As a kid I remember visiting my Uncle in the country and we always took empty bottles with us because we would always visit a local dairy and get milk fresh from the tap, the cream rosle to the top (it was pasturized). So, does anybody here know where one can buy milk directly from the dairy?

OLMC tent revival - I recently went to the Tent Revival at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel parish this past saturday in Bedford. The guest speakers gave excellent topics to think about. I was a little disappointed in the turnout though. I was wondering if the information about the event was publisied well enough or was it just simply a day with too many other activities going on.

Where do you go to learn how to ride motorcycles? - I got my endorsements about 10 years ago - and where the classes were, was behind MCO, (actually the classrooms were in the same building the county morgue is in), and now I have a pal who wants to take classes, but for the life of me, I cant remember the name of the organization who trained me.
