If the Health Department is in such dire straits, why do they have two people doing the same job? There are two health commissioners, doing the same job both getting paid $100,000/year! I have heard that in order to "help" that the deputy health commissioner is going to retire and then "double dip", what a hero! Wouldn't the better idea be to have him retire, and just keep the one commissioner who is already there working? Seems like you could save $100,000 plus benefits, just an idea, what do you think?
