I'm guessing he wants to buy a ticket for a chance to win the iPad?
(I haven't seen anything about the raffle, but if I do I'll post it.)

Students are winning iPads, the U is giving them away for something, saw it last week in one of the news emails we get everyday. I'll find that in my trash at work tomorrow and post it up, could be that someone who won one is raffling it for charity...or cash, lol.
If it's the scenario nana described they could find themselves in trouble (if caught).
Legit raffles are supposed to be licensed & regulated. Not sure what the penalties are for an unlicensed raffle?
From the Update...."a second-year medical student, won an iPad just by checking his Rocket email and logging in to read the daily eBlade. The system tracks students' use of the eBlade; the more they use it, the more chances they have to win iPads, as well as tuition and fees for the semester."
I've heard nothing about a student raffling one off, but I'm not on Main and would not hear of such things.
Got it: It is a raffle by a fraternity related to the theatre dept... It seems legit...
$20 tickets
