Just learned that Harry Morgan passed away yesterday. I'll always remember him as Col. Potter on MASH. I loved watching that show with my grandpa.

Always enjoyed his work on M*A*S*H and Dragnet....RIP
His work on M*A*S*H was phenomenal - he made that show in it's later years. I still use one of his phrases to this day - "Horse Hockey!!"
RIP Harry.

his first character on mash - General Steele "that's Steele with 3 E's, not all in a row.."
I was saddened to read about his passing. 96 is a pretty good life though.
He had a heck of a career. Acted in some damn good movies too.
I remember him from December Bride as Pete Porter as well as his movies (often a western sheriff) and of course, Dragnet.
Acted in some damn good movies too.
I'd say so...
State Fair (1945)
High Noon (1952)
The Glenn Miller Story (1954)
Inherit The Wind (1960)
Cimmaron (1960)
How the West Was Won (1962)
...and a film I watched when I was a kid that I just had to throw in...
The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975)

Also liked him in "Support your local sheriff" , "Support your local gunfighter", and he played the town sheriff in John Waynes final movie, "The Shootist".
Everything you wanted to know about his career.
