Mud Hens to host Tigers at Fifth Third Field April 4

To bad its on a Wednesday at Noon in the begining of April.Gonna be cold & most people will be working. I miss the days of the Rec Center when they would play in the middle of Summer.

Hopefully it's a sunny day in April for the game! I went to a few of the summer exhibitions in the late 80's/early 90's and they were always fun.

The better memories for me are the times the Tiger stars came down to Toledo to rehab for a week or two. Anyone remember when Kirk Gibson played for the Hens (on injury rehab) in '86 or '87?? The old Skeldon Stadium was packed every night he played...it was a huge event!

I think Lance Parrish and either Whitaker or Trammell did some time down here too on injury rehab and it was still an event...but for some reason, the Gibson games stand out in my memory.
