drink way too much water, take some aspirin and eat something bad for you (ie: fatty and carby)

make sure to keep drinking a ton of water. it will take some time, but you'll feel better. :)

I know it might be hard to do but exercise always helps me along with what was stated above.

Greasy food, plenty of non-carbonated/non-caffeinated fluids, pain killers, and sleep is my typical hangover recovery plan. Good luck!

Last time I had too many - it was coffee. water. excedrin. more water. greasy spoon breakfast. with coffee and lots more water. By about 2pm all was well.

Good Luck!

Whatever you do, don't take anything with acetaminophen in it. Check the ingredients on the box. This includes Tylenol, Excedrin, and other pain relievers. Take aspirin.

"The potential for acetaminophen to harm the liver is increased when it is combined with alcohol or drugs that also harm the liver... The most serious side effect is liver damage due to large doses, chronic use or concomitant use with alcohol or other drugs." http://www.google.com/search?q=acetaminophen&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Have posted this before dealing with cheeseburgers and food posts so it's beginning to appear that it's the answer for everything but drop and give it 25 push-ups and 25 sit-ups and don't call me growling about it. btw Happy Holidays

Gatorade/Powerade.

My dad use to wake up and down a regular pickle jar worth of pickle juice then a coffee and he'd be back to normal lol.

My old cure used to be Coke from a can and a pack of marlboro lights!
and of course many many advils.

My college roommate used to swear by Coke from McDonald's.

I don't know if any other Coke (the beverage, lol) would have worked as well or not. But we used to peel ourselves off the couch on Sunday mornings for a Mickey D's run to get Cokes, and it definitely worked miracles.

I have yet to try this but I have read many articles about coconut water being able to give some quick relief.

I second McDonald's Coke. Soooo much more syrup than anyone else's - all that sugar always makes me feel better.

The only true cure I've ever found is just going back to bed - two more hours of sleep does a world of good.

First off, Upso is not an expert; at best, he's a talented amateur. Now then:

The only real cure is time, but if you'd like to alleviate the symptoms try a little of the hair of the dog that bit you. I prefer a bloody mary or irish coffee, followed by a shot or two of good sipping whiskey taken straight up. Add a handful of Aspirin, coffee and breakfast when you feel up to it. If you're thirsty, by all means have a beer.

I've known real professionals to use two raw eggs in a highball glass topped off with whiskey, but this never really worked for me.

If you decide to skip breakfast (many do), have gazpacho for lunch. A bowl or two of this ambrosia will have you feeling like a new man, and you'll be able to hit it again that evening.

and not just exercise, but FRESH AIR. and all that water. and some cafeinne (but not too much, since hang-overs = dehydration) plus some fat-laden carbs (fast-food burgers, oddly, seem to be help -- or maybe that's just me, using an excuse for crap-as-food).

Don't drink to excess and go to bed early. Problem solved.

A hangover is nature's way of telling you what you really already know. You don't know when to say when.

Actually hang-over does not equal dehydration. In fact, it is hyper-hydration that is responsible for most of the symptoms. Urination is frequent after a night of over drinking which is a sign of over hydration not dehydration.

What is happening is a bit complicated but basically your body tissues are filled with fluid and they swell..thus you feel terrible. The problem is that most of that fluid is extracellular not intracellular.
Thus you get the thirst plus urination syndrome.

Just keep urinating, drink normally...and don't do it again.

This web site is directly contradictory to your hangover does not equal dehydration explanation.
