Andrew Z's morning show ridicules another's drinking problem

On Christmas Day, while driving over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house, I was flicking through the stations and ended up at 100.7 for a song or two. When the song ended, they played the "Recently on the Andrew Z morning show" clip. The woman on the show read a headline about some county sheriff (I believe) who showed up to a meeting drunk and allegedly had an empty beer bottle in their car. It sounded like there were 3 people in studio including the woman who read the story. They all laughed, and some guy made a comment about it, then Andrew Z said something sarcastic ( I didn't really hear it) then they all laughed about it.

How tasteful that he can joke about other's alcohol problems when the only reason he is on the air and not in jail is because he blamed everything on alcohol.

Did he ever really have any class to begin with?

About as much class as talent.

...people actually care what he thinks, much less wastes time to talk about how much this guy sucks?

This is my last ever comment on anything about this guy - making a point here that others should observe.

Is there a single guy on the radio who isn't a two faced hypocrit?

I saw him recently - his show was doing a remote broadcast in Sylvania at the place where I usually get my morning coffee. Up until that point, I had almost forgotten he had a new show.

Top Queries from Search Traffic
The top queries driving traffic to andrewzonline.com from search engines. Updated monthly.

Query Percent of Search Traffic
1 what happened to andrew z 43.49%
2 andrew z 25.13%
3 the good morning train is coming 17.82%
4 z-pages facebook 10.31%
5 "i'm in no way trying to" 3.24%

It looks like most of the traffic the site gets is from when people search "what happened to andrew z". of course, then you would have to ask, why is someone searching for "what happened to andrew z"

these figures come from alexa.com, but as far as the "hits" its not in the top 100,000 so that site to track them...

Im waiting for statbrain.com to run the data, their site has better numbers to look at

For some people that really dont like him you sure spend a lot of time thinking about him for some reason. I suggest just letting go and let him fade back into obscurity.

I heard Stadium Salsa was a sponsor of the show. Not a big fan of the owner. Maybe it's true. Water seeks its own level.

Any schlep can generate a million hits. My personal blog (a site, by the way, that I have been neglecting of late due to a heavy workload) recently passed the one million unique visitors mark. I am posting the following to be illustrative, not to be boastful:

web stats

When I was much more active as a blogger I could generate 2,00 or more unique visitors a day on the busy days, and my daily average used to be in the 700-800 range.

Mind you, I do not even have a radio station or business to plug my site, like Andrew Z has/had, and all of my traffic comes from people searching for content I created. I used to use the site to self-promote and to generate ad revenue, but these days I have more work than I can fit in a 30-hour day, and I do not have the time to chase the $600-$1500 a month in advertising a site like this can generate.

Moral: do not be impressed by the "million visitors" pitch.

Errr... "2,000 or more..."

I've heard him occasionally tell the audience to go to his website and follow the link to vote his morning show #1 in Toledo Free Press.
Like you said, telling people on the radio to go to your website will get you a lot of hits.

I don't spend a lot of time "thinking about him" or even following him. I am an admitted "flicker" or "clicker" and will go through the stations on both radio and tv. I do hear him at various times. I don't know if people really don't know about what he did or just don't care. I really feel that most warm bodies can fill in a radio show. It's not like he's great at what he does.
