SCRAP 4 ART opening at new location on Jan. 28

Scrap4Art Announces Move to New Location – Opens Saturday, January 28
Scrap4Art, a materials exchange program promoting the creative reuse of recycled and repurposed materials, is relocating its retail store to a new location at 333 W. Wayne Street, Maumee, OH. The non-profit organization sells reclaimed materials by the bag to prevent reusable items going directly into the landfill. The store will close on January 7 in its current location and is planned to reopen in its new location on January 28. Store hours in the new location will be the same as now: Tuesday, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 12:30-5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Scrap4Art Vice President Barb Mauntler says the new location will provide more space for classes and workshops, a gallery/boutique highlighting works created with repurposed materials, and a wider inventory. "We are excited by this possibilities that this new location will provide to us. We encourage interested volunteers and artists to contact us about utilizing the space and to get involved." Scrap4Art has temporarily discontinued acceptance of donated goods and materials until the store reopens on January 28. Interested donors are encouraged to contact the store about making donations. Particularly popular with teachers are items which can be purchased in bulk. Scrap4Art appreciates contributions of appropriate industrial excess materials. Scrap4Art is funded in part by the Ohio Arts Council. Please contact the store by calling 419-720-2978 or visit online at www.scrap4arttoledo.org.
