Old News: Missing Kids, and Suspected Father found in Toledo

Was able to find some info online. Seems like the father was sentenced. Very sad story.

Correction, the sentencing was not sad, the fact the kids are still missing is.

Kids have never been found. There was recently a "rally" at a local school to keep the story in people's minds. Father still refuses to talk. Kids still missing. Truly a sad story.

I'd like to invite this guy and his attorney to Bigz for the bouncers to "train" on them.

Family is from Morenci, MI. It's a very sad and strange story that will probably never have a happy ending.

I wish he would just fess up and say what happened.

Can't imagine anyone buys the story that he gave them to some underground network.

Would be nice if the boys truly were alive somewhere, but I'm not sure there's any realistic hope of that. :(

The title of the thread made it seem like the kids were found.

His story is the kids were in trouble in her custody and he gave them to a group that would protect them. While I hope his story is true I somehow think he would of gave up more proof to save his ass if it were.

I was a little shocked about how the mother "changed" over the duration of the story. The first time I saw her, she seemed completely unemotional. Maybe from shock, but then the last time I saw her on tv, she was completely different. Her hair and makeup were done, she talked very differently. I'm hoping that it was from the shock at first and then she was able to grasp it and not from the reality that she is getting money from this.
I say that because I believe they raised money for her at the last rally. Although I couldn't understand what she needed money for.

However, I can think of 2 reasonable things off the top of my head that might cause a parent of missing children to need financial assistance. 1) If they took a leave of absence from work when it happened (whether to look for the kids and/or because you were too distressed to go to work initially). 2) If they hired any private investigators to continue the search for the kids.

No idea if either of those scenarios was the case here...just saying that I could see those being reasonable explanations for a parent of missing kids in general.

I'd be a complete wreck if my kids were missing...would definitely not be able to keep going to work while all the initial chaos was going on.

As with other bizarre stories and situations, there might be more here than meets the eye. Not saying any parent wouldn't be a wreck if kids were taken, but having the father acuse mother of endangering kids is horrible whether it's true or not. The rest of the story just went downhill from there.
