Duplicate posts in politics and front page

Jr. did you catch that there are 2 threads that are in politics that also show up on the front page?

I made a little change last night. If people don't like the change, I can easily revert back to the way it was. No big deal.

Political threads appear on the default home page, but they should display differently. The political threads are now listed in a smaller font size, entirely in lowercase, and in a light gray color, so that they are less obvious. It seems easy to scan or skip over these threads if I choose to. The political threads are "there" but not "too there."

I was attempting to find more common ground because I know some don't want political threads displaying on the front page, and I know some dislike it when a thread is moved into the politics forum and off the front page.

The front page should display like the image below with the two political threads that Linecrosser mentioned appearing less obviously. Again, if this is an unacceptable change, I can quickly go back to the way it was.

I liked when they were separate. If I want to engage in a political discussion, I'll go to that part of TT.
I like that the "lighter" topics are separated.

jr, just my two cents, but I really like the change. Looks good.

Oh! Didn't know the distinction before but like it!

Noticed it today. I like it, as I forgot about some threads that I found interesting because they got dumped into the cesspool that is the political section.

I say keep it!

I think it is a nice compromise, jr.

See the thread titles on the front page, but have them differentiated so that the uninterested can skip right over.

I think it's a nice feature. I never went into the politics section before, but was interested in both threads.

Thanks Jr.

Some of the political posters will need to clean up their act when it comes to titling their threads.

That's not such a bad thing though!

Excellent idea, jr!

I did notice that the changes don't show up if you are using Google Chrome. I had no clue what you were talking about until I switched to IE and saw it there.

I use Chrome and it shows up exactly as jr showed in his screen shot.

Same for this Chrome user, too. I can see the distinction with no problem.

I think it's a good compromise, jr. Well done!

dell_diva, you may need to hit the refresh button to reload the modified CSS file. I only use Chrome and Firefox, and the grayed-out threads appear as planned. I checked the site in old IE v6, and it worked.
