Just got word I am inheriting a grandfather clock from a relative. I was told Fulkerson's Jewelers moves them, but they are tied up. Apparently, the estate closes next Thursday, so I got to get the clock out of there. Anyone know of a place besides Fulkerson's that knows how to move a grandfather clock? Thanks so much for any advice you can give me.

I believe the biggest concern is to disconnect or secure the moving parts in the body. The rest is just moving.
Been there, done that. Have it professionally moved.
John Mitchell, Mitchell's Clock Shop in Sylvania.
I second Foodie's recommendation. This is one of those things that it really pays to have an expert move, and by that I mean a real expert - not two men and a truck.
Casey's Clock Shop on Rugby Drive. If anyone would know how to move a grandfather clock, it would be them.
Yep - forgot about Casey's. They did a major cleaning and tune up on my clock about 5 years ago. Removed the works from the clock and took them to their shop to do it. It took about a month but it has kept perfect time since. Very happy with their work too.
