SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING BOOM- New York (AP) There is a boom in housing in certain areas of the nation, set off by general price stability, rising incomes, and falling interest rates.

Realtor economists suggest that if interest rates and inflation can be held in check- and their long-range forecasts suggest that, given wise fiscal and monetary policy, maybe the [up and down] cycle will be blunted.
