Ex-Dog Catcher Mad, Make That Mad, Again!

http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2012/03/18/Ex-dog-warden-stands-by-actions-on-pit-bulls.html
What gives with this imbecile? According to how I construed this article, current Dog WARDEN Julie Lyles' " low body count" is evidence the laws aren't being enforced. Remember, this jerk had a "scientific" way to test the aggressiveness of dogs, by pinching their genitalia! He is also apparently referencing sodium pentobarbital, for euthanasia, as "a sweet way to go". What I don't understand, is why The Blayed gives a "dog-nazi" a public forum in the first place.

Tel me folks, with all that is going on in the world today, page 1 and page 3 of the first section of the Blade was about dogs. Makes no sense to me.

Can't we let this issue die a normal death?

I can't decide if Skeldon sounds more like that "Hide yo' kids, Hide yo' wife" guy, or a townsperson from an episode of Scooby Doo. "YOUUU KIDS STAY OUT OF THAT TOWN, THEY'RE PIT BULLS IN THERE!"

No jackie, we can't let this die a normal death. This is one of those things that needs to be fixed. I can't do anything about most things happening in the world. But I can help fix the HUGE dog/cat issue in Toledo. Skeldon was an awful dog warden. His kill the innocent instead of doing something about the root cause, was an awful way to handle the problem. I give Julie Lyles a huge pat on the back for walking into such a mess and not taking the easy way out.

But, seriously, with all the events going on in the world today, does this story merit the Sunday front page headline above the fold?

JRB has a very strange obsession with this topic.

I agree with your assessment of Mr. Skelton and know there is a huge problem in this area. But front page headline above the fold? I think not.

I'm plain sick and tired of dogs adopted, dogs killed in the paper day after day. Tell we get more responsible pet owners there are always going to be problems.

That begs the question-why aren't worthless owners' being prosecuted? Dogs aren't inherently vicious, idiotic owners make them that way.

I would love to see dog owners prosecuted for bad behavior. They are the reason why, if i see a pitbull-type dog strolling around without a leash, i have to call the cops/warden. I can't trust that a dog like that WON'T attack.

From The Blade: Mr. Skeldon said he did not enjoy killing so many dogs.

Which is not true. Skeldon enjoyed killing dogs then, and I have no reason to believe he's changed. I believe he also enjoys making people suffer as well as killing dogs and cats.

From the same article: "Nobody likes killing dogs. But the way I mentally handled it was euthanasia was a whole lot better than some alternatives," he [Skeldon] said.

Skeldon is a liar and a fascist. I have no use for him.

It's likely that this is getting space in The Blade because of Tina Skeldon-Wosniak. I also think it's likely that we'll be seeing an effort to put Skeldon back in the dog catcher's truck.

There was an article on the Blade website Saturday about the passing of JRB's dog. I didn't see it in the print newspaper, but it was touching and written by Mr. Block. I think it at least partially explains
why the Blade is so sensitive to dog/animal issues.
Sorry, I have trouble using the Blade website as my browser doesn't support the updated version, so I can't post the link.

^Really? Sorry to hear about the pooch but find it hard to believe that anything but battery acid courses through JRB's veins.

Thanks, jr.. My pit is 14 years old now. When it's his time, I'll be at the vets' office with him. I've done this once before. He's been a companion, and a protector. I owe him that much.
