My new budget plan amount is $13. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.

Ours is $38 but our appliances also run off of gas here too

Ours has fluctuated between $125 and $180 for years. This was a pleasant surprise for sure.
Same here. I think our last one before budget was around $150

Guess they shouldn't have gone after all that gas when Bush was in office, you didn't want rates this low did you?

Columbis Gas is paying 37 cents now for CCF of gas.. It is cheaper than it has been in years.
Two reason for drastic cuts in budget payments, cheaper and cheaper gas and a record warm winter.
Wish I could say the same for our electric bill, water bill and cable bill.
My cable bill just went down $7 :-) My electric budget payment went down $35. Water bill should go down too, as we fixed the toilet. LOL!

Why are your utilities so low?Do you live in a one room home?

If I could only get my sister in law to move out my utility bills would go down also.

Hahahahaha buckeye278. I said went DOWN $7/$35. Not down TO that.
My water bill (see my prior threads here) is over $100/month. My cable bill (after my $7 decrease) is $270. My electric bill is finally down to something more manageable: $127 (instead of the $175/$181 it's been for the past year).
Pretty typical house here: about 1500 sq ft of living area. And frankly, I still think my water and electric bills are too high.
gamegirl
I agree that our electric and water bills are too high.
Water bills include now all the increases that council recently passed and our garbage fees. Still angers me about the garbage as that was one of the items the original 3/4% tax increase was to pay for. And fire and police pensions, etc. We Toledoans have screwed ourselves when we voted to allow the mayor to balance the budget from this fund.
Holy moly gamegirl !! I thought my cable/phone/Internet bill was stratospheric at $175/mo. I have the HD package(s) but no premium channels nor do we do any VOD. You must have the Rolls Royce package.
No Doubt. Ours is only about $120 a month for cable. Gas is 38, and Electric is 38, water is about $90 bucks a month

LOL Foodie! We don't do any VOD, either. But we did have (prior to the whole house DVR stuff) a DVR box in the Living Room and Bedroom, HD on both of them, ALL the premium channels (that aren't sports-related), Internet access, a personal phone line and a business phone line.
With our work schedules and my health limitations, our TVs and the stuff we funnel through them are pretty much the sum total of our entertainment. xBox Gold and Netflix round things out. Between that and the fact that Mr. Gamegrrl and I are both pretty fabulous in the kitchen, we keep ourselves entertained and well fed for a lot less than we used to spend on restaurants, movies and the like.
I agree GG, cable seems expensive, but if I take my family out for dinner and movie, I’m looking at $100 easy. Staying home, watching a movie off the DVR and having homemade tacos or pizza even once a month instead of going out, pays half my cable bill.

A VERY easy $100, SensorG. And that doesn't even really take into consideration things like gas, and something VERY important to me: my time.
Plus, if I stay home, I don't have to wear pants. That's "value added" no matter how you slice it.

Indeed.
Mr. Gamegrrl sounds like a lucky guy...
