Passover Coke

Anyone seen any yellow-capped "Kosher for Passover" Coca-Cola out and about? It's made with real sugar, not that high fructose corn syrup crap.

So Coca-Cola is the same thing as Mountain Dew and Pepsi?

sigh

From Wikipedia:

Kosher Coca-Cola produced for Passover is sold in 2-liter bottles with a yellow cap marked with an OU-P, indicating that the Orthodox Jewish Union certifies the soda as Kosher for Passover, or with a white cap with a CRC-P indicating that the certification is provided by the Chicago Rabbinical Council.

While the usual Coca-Cola formula is kosher (the original glycerin from beef tallow having been replaced by vegetable glycerin), during Passover Ashkenazi Jews do not consume Kitniyot, which prevents them from consuming high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).

And usually it takes a rabbi to certify that it's kosher. Strangely, assuming that the Coke I recently purchased was actually bottled here in town, the bottler has NOT bothered to bring a rabbi in and had their products certified as such, because the label does not say it is kosher, and Coca-Cola.com says:
For products certified as kosher, The Coca-Cola Company manufactures beverage syrups and concentrates under rabbinical supervision. As you may be aware, it is left to the discretion of each bottler to have the finished beverages certified by a rabbi. The rabbi's approval or certification is usually noted on the label.

What's with the antisemitism in the Toledo area?

That's what Fox News tells me. If I don't wish someone "Merry Christmas", then I'm waging war on Christianity.

What's with the antisemitism in the Toledo area?

Local bottlers ≠ Toledo area
not offering niche products ≠ antisemitism

Call and complain; make your voice heard. If the demand was there it would already be on shelves. Or you can find a Kosher store that has had it brought in from another area.

So mentioning other non corn-syrup soft drinks equates to me bringing up antisemitism? You need a clue AC, simply put, you could of just said you preferred coke and let it go at that.
