Conspiracy Theorists welcome! We switched our phone service from AT&T to Buckeye a short time ago. From the day of the disconnect we began getting robocalls -- 15 a day was typical -- even though we are on the Do Not Call registry. (Our phone number didn't change, just the provider). The calls stopped after the spouse called Buckeye to verify that nothing should have changed because of the switch.
Is it possible that someone hacked into the customer lists of either company -- or the company we left sold our name, or sold a list of departing customers? It was so bizarre. Has anyone else experienced a 2 or 3 day blitz of robo solicitations? Thank goodness we're back to normal!
