What are your plans for Father's Day???

What do you plan to honor and celebrate Good Ole Dad this year? A cookout or a picnic. Dinner at Webber's. Bay Shore Supper Club.

How about a gift? You could Wash/Wax and detail the car. Something you wouldn't normally do but know he'd really appreciate the effort. Cleaning out the garage.

Wish any one of those was still an option. I'll have to settle for putting flowers on his grave.

Renewing for another full year my dad's Netflix membership on my dime. Sounds silly but he loves it.

Sadly despite trying I am not yet a father, so can't spend it as one but I will damn sure tip my hat to my own father.

Kids got my husband Red Hot Chili Peppers tickets.

Not sure yet about my dad. He has everything he wants/needs, so when gift time comes he's hard to buy for.

Spends most of his free time golfing, so I may buy him a round of golf at a nice course.

My Dad passed away on Easter this year, first year without him is gonna be a rough one.

Last year my wife cut the grass, paid for my car to be detailed and pretty much gave me a weekend off from chores/kids which was awesome.

Heart goes out to you that have lost your dad. Mother's day is the tough one for me. Still have dad.

Anyway... most fathers would like nothing as much as a card with a message of love, appreciation, and admiration. No object that my child could ever give me would mean as much.

Possibly going down to the graveyard and spilling a little gin on his grave. Or not, as the case may be.

Will be thinking of him. He passed away a while back. Miss him every day. Thought of him on Memorial Day, too, and appreciated his service in the war, where he was injured. My dad never wanted us to make a fuss over him, but we usually bought him and my mom tickets to a show at the Masonic Auditorium or dinner.

As a father of 4, I'll be happy just to have all of my children in one place for a while so we can spend some time together.
Advice for those with younger children...treasure your time together, because they grow up so very fast. My "baby girl" is going to be 21 in a few days.
