Local Bike Shops

I am looking to get a decent hybrid bike in the near future. By decent I mean a step above a dept store bike but nothing outrageous. I am going to check Wersells and Reggies. Hopefully I can find a used one in good shape.

I like to ride the Parks trail for exercise and around the neighborhood with our kids.

Anyone have opinions on local dealers? What about Bikeworks in Sylvania?

I saved up and bought mine from Wersells last year. It's an investment but you get a serious bike there. Love mine and it's a hybrid as well which is nice. Can do 5-6 miles on the road or hit the woods. I'm a big guy as well so my bike takes a beating and haven't had a problem yet.

The staff there was very helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable. But they are a bit pricey.

A few years ago, I bought a mountain bike from Wood County Sheriff auction for $17.00. It needed a couple of tubes and minor fix up, but the price was right. They have online auctions of many things.

If you are looking for a decent used bike... Toledo Bikes is awesome. They are the former "Toledo Bike CO OP".

I have bout bikes from Wersell's and the Bike Route. I was very pleased in each case, but I prefer Wersell's overall. They are easy to work with, have a great selection and offer free tune-ups as part of the purchase.

this guy takes service to a whole new level

http://www.roadracer.com/

his rates are right in there with everyone mentioned here. When we bought bikes, he had us ride around the parking lot so he could look at our legs and adjust the seat height properly, then we rode some more so he could do the same with the handlebars. he also said that all the cables would stretch on us because they were new, so after we put a couple hundred miles on the bikes to bring them back and he'd readjust them for free.

Perrysburg. Well worth the trip.

I thought the bike rental thing was going to be here by now.

Wersells is having their parking lot sale today,
I believe, so it might be a good time to check them out!

If you want a used bike, I would recomend Toledo Bikes. You are helping out a good cause.

If you want a new bike I would use Werschells. Two sisters own it and are great. If you tell them you want to use Am Ex to pay but will use a debit card or check or cash instead they will usually knock 10% off the bike price. Something I really like about the place is they will give you 2 free bike tuneups with the purchase of the bike (can be used anytime) and if you need a flat fixed they will fix it on the spot.

Can't say enough good about Wersell's. They know their stuff.

I second the positives about Wersell's. Bought a couple of bikes a few years ago and they were a great help.
