Sound Bars For TV

Has any TT'ers done any research on Sound Bars for flat screen TVs? I am looking to spend under $200. I am hoping it has a DVD player in it but it doesn't have to. I can't stand the vibration of the speaker on the Westinghouse I bought.

If not I can do some research and report back if anyone is interested.

we had a sony soundbar for a while. conceptually i really loved how little space it took up but man did the sound suck. soundbars can get the mix on dvds-blurays a little wonky at times, and i often found hearing people's voices in movies impossible

we ditched the bar for speakers and a receiver. not the best for saving space, but at least i can hear what people are saying

man i sound old!

I got the Sony BDV-F7 for my bedroom setup. It has a vertical design with slot-loading Blu-ray that takes up a small amount of space and sounds really good for a 2.1 speaker system... decent bass response and the dialogue is clear. It looks like it's only sold at a few stores probably since it's been out a couple years.

Hello Fellow TTalkers,
Kenny here, store manager at the Appliance Center. Just caught this thread and wanted to let you know that we carry soundbars from several manufacturers. I recommend a couple LG soundbars that sound amazing. Crystal clear audio and VERY easy to setup. One model comes with a wireless blue-tooth subwoofer for only $279, one without for only $179. Come in to the store, ask for Kenny and I will get you taken care of! Or email me at ac.kennyw@gmail.com if you have any questions! Have a great weekend, STAY COOL!
