What? When did Churchill's close?

Are you sure? I just drove by it a couple of days ago and it was open?

I have shopped there every day for over 10yrs and have heard nothing about them closing.

Maybe I misunderstood it. This is what the newsletter says:
"Churchill's is on the selling block. I'm told there is a lot of interest in the property. Whether it stays a grocery store is another question."

I took that to mean that it was an empty building for sale but now I realize that could mean something different.

A Change is Coming....

There has been a lot of real estate activity in District 5. I've tried to keep this news as close to the vest as much as possible to respect the business process, and to respect the privacy of buyers and sellers. However; I have been getting inquiries regarding Churchill's supermarket on Central and Cheltenham and expansion at Westfield Mall.

Churchill's is on the selling block. I'm told there is a lot of interest in the property. Whether it stays a grocery store is another question.

Westfield is planning to pursue its options on its Phase II expansion. This latest expansion would be a 47,000 square foot space just east of cosmetic retailer Ulta. I'm told their plans will go before the Plan Commission next month.
