Steam Summer Sells

Not Toledo specific, but any gamers in TT? I'm a pretty frugal person but this summer sell has been awesome. I've almost doubled my game collection for less than $40 of top games. Really hoping Alma 2 goes on sell for less than it is already for the Day Z mod.

Steam has really changed my gaming experience :) I already bought more games to play that will last me past the next sell around Christmas for less than 1 months Buckeye cable cost.

Gotta love technology.

I am indeed a gamer, INC, but sadly my pitiful replacement computer after my last gaming computer blew up can't run much more than a potato. With this damned slumped economy, I wonder when I'll ever be able to get caught up on the computer side of gaming.

That said, for the non-gamers: Steam is an online game distribution service and a bit of a gamer social site besides. They have a couple super-deep sales per year that are a big deal in the gamer community because product that sells in stores for $50 or $60 are available digitally (no CD/DVD, just online Download) for $5 or $10. A lot of top-shelf product too, not to mention the occasional indie (obscure/small studio) gem.

I haven't picked up ANYTHING this summer sale. Which is kind of a bummer.

Wait, I did gift Binding of Isaac to a friend of mine as a sort of twisted baby shower gift.

I'll stick with Everquest till they shut it down or I finally tire of playing it.

I think my video card is on it's last legs. It seems to do OK with Fear 3, but when I play Metro 2033 even with the advance video settings put to "low" after a while I get severe artifacting and finally, a total freeze.

Clean the chunks of dust out of it? Sounds like overheating.

I put together a quick Steam group if anybody's interested. I don't know what everybody plays, but TF2 is always free.

I don't have Steam because APB Reloaded is the only game on my bad-ass rig.
