Sorry I can't be there! I like the kielbasa -- people line up for it before just about every holiday.

I really wish I liked Stanley's kielbasa, but i don't. It's too bland. K&J's kielbasa is way closer to what my grandma used to make and she was born in Poland.

Your tastes depend on what you are accustomed to, our family has always had Stanley's Kielbasa, so its what I prefer, boiled, broiled, on a grill, its spicy, tasty yum even cold covered in its white hardened grease. I have bought the store brand Kawolski, its ok but in my opinion bland. So Sensor should never buy it if he thinks Stanley's is bland.

We also score some great "kolbacz" from Takas Meats in East Toledo.

Is K&J's a House of Meats brand? Or where else is it sold?

K&J's is House of Meats. I don't care for it that much. I've also had Zavotski's kielbasas and don't care for them, either. I'm a Stanley's fan.

I totally agree with Linecrosser when he says "Your tastes depend on what you are accustomed to".

If you want some REAL fun, make your own. I never have enough time to really fiddle with the recipe, so it's decent and pretty yummy, but it's no Stanley's. LOL!

Big time Stanley's kielbasa fan here. Just can't beat the combination of spices they use - very heavy on the garlic and pepper.

As I've stated before, never have been a fan of anything from House of Meats. 2nd to 3rd rate quality IMHO. Have tried Zavotski's for meats in the past. Some were ok but I just can't get past the odor of the place - smells like decomposing flesh. And, yes, sorry to say I do know what that smells like.

Didn't notice the Cash Mob had a starting time - was there around 10:15 on the way home from the Farmer's Market. Sorry I missed y'all. Would like to have met any TT'ers who show up.

Maybe I'll stop by midday to see who might be there.

Ok.....so I was at Stanley's at 10:30 and again 2:30ish - unless everyone went between those hours it doesn't appear this cash mob was much of a success.........

Bummer.

Perhaps it would have had a better chance of success closer to fall football/tailgating season?
