Rossford All Saints Festival July 27th and 28th

This is one of my favorite festivals - primarily for the homemade pierogies and cabbage rolls the little old Polish ladies from the church make. Not a huge festival but they typically have some great live music (heavy on the Polish bands), ice cold beer and some decent table games. All in a nice setting.

Did I mention the pierogies and cabbage rolls???

Direct competition for the new casino ! I have been to this festival a few times and agree that it is a good one.

I don't even bother going anymore. Last time I went the food sucked and the food was to expensive for what you got.
My grandma is one of the old polish ladies that used to make the pierogi, she still does but not for the festival anymore. I think my uncle Jim still works the beer tent.
Also my old choir teacher's band Tru brew will be playing on the 28th so I might go see that.

Where in Rossford is it located? Sounds fun.

I am pretty sure that All Saints is the one on Lime City south of the main drag of Rossford, Dixie.

Justread is correct. It's right down the street from Mcdonalds, Subway, and Denny's, which are on buck road.

The address is 628 Lime City Road.

Pro's
+an old school church festival atmosphere, which are hard to find nowadays
+fresh tacos with fried shells
+small town feel
+pierogies, cabbage rolls, kielbasa etc....very good ethnic food.
+very safe
+usually have ice cold Summer Shandies
+nearby parking
+4:00 Saturday Polka Mass. Unique traditional.
+free shuttles from remote lots
+Negative Nelly lfrost2125 won't be there to bring you down. Is there anything positive you have to say about Rossford...ever?

Con's
-Miller beer on tap
-remote lots for overflow parking
-food runs out quickly....(prices must not be too high, eh?)
-Fri, Sat nights only....no Sunday.

Note: the prices for food, beer, pop...is commensurate with movies, ballgames, and county fairs, if not better. It's a nice festival, and if you're only going to go to one this year, this isn't a bad choice, IMO.

Just my experience I had last year. I know real polish ethnic food since both my great grand parents were from Poland, so I know what it should taste like. My great grandparents made stuff from scratch constantly. The stuff I had last year wasn't it.

Also most people that go to the festival now wouldn't know real Polish ethnic food if it bit them in the ass. Sad to say but a lot of the old timers that used to make the food are starting to die off.

I've been going since it was at the old St. Mary's on Dixie Hwy and last year was the worst food I ever tasted.
