I just wanted to give a heads up for those that might be looking for some cheap office space downtown.
My wife just opened up an office in the Spitzer Building and HOLY SMOKES is it ever inexpensive.
The building is pretty vacant, and certainly a little rough around the edges... but there is something romantic about being in a building so old, with so much Toledo history. There are INCREDIBLE views if you have an office facing inside the building, and the newly open Bleak House coffee is open downstairs.
They have security, a few working elevators and seriously... it's astonishingly dirt cheap. The vibe in the offices is very retro with wood paneling, and they are fitted with air conditioning units.
Just an FYI if you're running a home business, or looking for some space on a budget. Heck... it's a couple of blocks away from Grumpy's and I'd love to see more people downtown! :)

Be careful in the Spitzer Building. There are many of the devil's minions diguised as attorneys there just waiting to reap your souls.
...for those of you still in possession of your souls, that is.
Ha! Hockey, you're right… But the plus side is, being in a building filled with lawyers, it's probably one of the safest places in Toledo ;-)

Does that building still have the smell of cigar in it? Some of the old lawyers smoked in their office way after it was against the law.
not that i've noticed, and i've spent a good deal of time in there over the past month.

I've long believed there are more criminals in the Spitzer Bldg. than in the county jail.
