Soul food?

Where can I get good soul food in town? Is the such a place? Extra huge bonus points if they have good fried chicken.

Ruby's Kitchen on Dorr Street, if they're still open. Also, Serenity Soul Food on Navarre in East Toledo.

Ruby's is open. The food is wonderful. Their hours are odd. Not open every day. When they are open, they are extremely busy. The do a lot of carryout business.

anybody seen the one on upton just south of sylvania? Looks like it used to be a house. I only go by at 0600, so dont really know if they're open or not.

The place billy is talking about is Wishbone/Pho Vietnam. Started as a soul food restaurant and added Vietnamese items to the menu. Both are good!

I had heard the Vietnamese part was killer and the soul part not so much, but I have yet to go.

The Vietnamese at Wishbone is killer - best in town. Not had the soul food, though.

The Vietnamese at Pho Vietnam is the real deal!

The Serenity Soul Food on Woodville in E. Toledo has closed.

If I recall correctly, Ruby's Kitchen used to have a menu on its website, but I can't find the website anymore, which is why I thought it may be closed. Thanks Holland for the info!

I seem to remember a place on Nebraska that was called the West-N Cafe or something like that. Does it ring a bell with anyone?
