I'm trying to test a new weather radio. Are there weekly tests, on wednesdays, from NOAA?
Thanks, lynn

Thanks, I did get it about the same time. Just had to be sure.
Mine doesn't alarm for advisories or tests only for watches and warnings, has 3 LEDs green for advisories and tests, yellow for watches and red for warnings.

Where is the best place to get a weather radio?? Considering one for the lake.
Hoops,
I got mine from Meijers. Mine has the three lights also for Advisory, watch and warnings. I think I paid less than 30 dollars for mine.

This is the one that I bought a year or two ago on Amazon:

I went with this one because you could turn off certain watches and warnings and only leave on the watches and warnings that I wanted.
I purchased a Midland HR100 a few years ago and it still works good. Also has the three lights. WTOL was offering half price at Krogers.
I also have a new Midland HH54 portable, the one I'm testing now. Just waiting for any future advisories or warnings to see if it works.
Yeah the midland hr100 think is the same one I got from Krogers during a WTOL promo.

Yeppers, got the Midland at Kroger's. If you get this one be sure to prepare yourself for the alarm, which is crazy-lous when there is a warning. Scared the bejeezus out of me the first time it wnet off: "WREEEEEEEEEEEEE! WREEEEEEEEEEE!"

I have a question. Mine periodically flashes a message saying "NO SAME", when I have programmed all the SAME county codes in the area into it. I just have to turn it on and turn it back off again for it to go back to normal, and after the last time, I double checked and all my codes were still in there. Any idea why it does that?
Err... "crazy-loud."
