Looking for an idea of something to do on Saturday night with my Girlfriend. It can be anywhere within Toledo of about an hour- and possibility of staying over night. We're looking for something quiet, yet fun to do. Any suggestions in Toledo? I thought of getting a hotel downtown and taking the shuttle from Downtwon to the casino then back downtown to party after the mud hens game- but that's not "quiet" either LOL. looking for a relaxing night- not a drunk night- but will have a few drinks... any suggestions?

sadly, reading the reviews on yelp... looks like the hotel options downtown are kind of shitty. possible they have some nicer rooms but i'd check em out first
More than an hour but Frankenmuth might be a nice trip.

That's a good idea
Also a ton of great places to eat in Ann arbor and a brand new fancy hotel http://www.webersinn.com/
Dinner somewhere nice... Registry Bistro is amazing! A night cap at Manhattan's (usually have live music... a lot of jazz, etc. Then a room in the Mansion View Inn?

Registry is definitely a must-visit. The wines are incredible AND affordable, and well-paired with the menu. I'd like to HIGHLY recommend the Ete' wine (it's by Anne Amie, a killer white blend - good acidity balance and great minerality).
Afterwards, Manhattan's is a good call - but I would also suggest The Attic (it's above Manos on the same street - you could do both, in fact). Cool atmosphere, great bartenders, excellent beer selection, usually a pretty interesting crowd on the weekends.
Well, first you two could start off with a show and some dinner at the Palms Showgirls Bar on Detroit Ave. Last I heard they set the record for health department violations in the kitchen. That promises to give you many memories the following morning depending on how long you have to spend in the E.R. getting your stomachs pumped.
Then, a quiet walk through the south end tunnel seems like a nice bonding experience. You can find an assortment of drugs, gang members, various homeless people and prostitutes.
Good luck and don't forget to get your "I survived Toledo" t-shirts.
thanks for being helpful funny guy

Life sometimes sucks so bad that throwing a little off-color humor around gets a laugh. And sometimes it doesn't. Either way, I've learned to entertain myself with it.
