Does anybody know if the Beaver Club is still open on the river? I thought it closed many years ago.

Wonder if the Braver Club closed? If so what was built in its place?
I had never heard of the place, but a quick Google search turned up a 1978 Toledo Blade article indicating that the liquor license had been revolked. The article also stated that the decision was under appeal.
2503 Broadway? Is that where The Lighthouse is now?
- revoked not revolked. Typing too fast and not enough coffee yet this morning.) :)
Apparently the liquor license was held by brothers Frank and Dan Kronfield.
It would also appear that part of the problem leading up to the liquor license not being renewed involved use of 2-way radios to "thwart police and fire efforts to enforce parking and occupancy laws."
Blade 1977 article:
Enjoyed some fun times at the ol' Beaver Club back in the day. Completely forgot about it !
Didn't it burn down to the.....water?

It appears you're right.
River's Edge Marina (formerly the Beaver Club) burned down in 1982:
There is a kind of nice duplex there now, beige stucco with a gated front yard, red tile roof and wheelhouse style feature on the right. The driveway is near the slight curve in the road after that wedding chapel place.
Wow, did I ever have the wrong idea from the title. Simple minds....
Oh I think you have the right idea, hf. the Beaver club was one of the earliest meat markets in Toledo that I can remember.
It was all about the furry critters...
The Oops Band was the house band until it burned to the ground....then they went to the Glendale Inn. Now that is a Kroger Store.
