My Mother lives in a condominium complex and they are looking to hire a management company. Any tips on what to look for? Any recommendations of reputable companies to use, or to avoid?

I know Danberry is a very reputable company and I do know they have a property mgmt division. Here is a link to their site http://www.danberry.com/property_management/
I am pretty certain Remax also has a property management services. My suggestion is to interview them as you would an employee or potential vendor. Ask for references. Have them put together a formal proposal with specifics.
Like anything in life there are good and people/companies out there. You may get better rates from a small operation than a Danberry or Remax but are they licensed or competent enough? Remember 3rd party mgmt in Ohio requires a re license.
