Hmmmmmmm.........a Sprint ad disguised as a news item? Notice the "Best Carrier" in each city listed - Sprint.
AT&T is poor around here, but I've never had issues with my Verizon phone or my Sprint phone back in the day.

My brother has had no problems with Sprint in 10 years, loves em, loves any phone he gets from them. I went cheap and got TracFone and I can't even make a call from the front of my house, I have to stand outside in the back, and even then it's iffy. I'm in Northwood but I had some problems inside Toledo, too. Doesn't poor service have more to do with your phone and carrier than it does the city?
enjoy, that pic made me laugh out loud! One of my favorite shows ever!
I still have my old Indianapolis number and AT&T service on my iPhone. AT&T absolutely blows in this area. There are large patches of the city where I have no coverage whatsoever. Downtown's not bad, but anywhere outside of that and I might as well have a brick in my hand.
I am considering moving to Verizon.
AT&T just blows period.

I am considering moving to Verizon.
As part of a two person family where each member has had a protracted billing dispute with AT&T (wife--cell phone, me--internet service), let me be the first to highly encourage that move.
Linecrosser sums it up nicely.

Has anyone else noticed that the voice connection for Sprint in Perrysburg is ok, but the Data speed is terrible. I am on my third Sprint phone and all of them have gotten bad service. It's a little better near Levis but downtown Perrysburg is bad. Downtown and in west Toledo I get great service for both voice and data.
My work phone on the other hand is AT&T which seems to get good service in Perrysburg and Downtown but have not really used it outside of those areas.

We have Sprint, and I'm quite happy with the service. Especially the unlimited data that most carriers seem to be doing away with.
glasscityguy - I'm not in Perrysburg often, but I can't recall off the top of my head having a problem there. My primary usage is in downtown Toledo and Sylvania Twp, and I get great service in both of those locations.
I've has Verizon for many years and I can count the amount of calls dropped in a year on 1 hand with fingers to spare.
My Sprint reception has for some reason declined over the past, say, year and a half. I am constantly hanging up on people now, or not able to dial out at all.
AT&T is like the old bathroom key at a gas station, sure you can have the key but its attached to something that weighs 5 pounds to insure you don't run off with it. Like when the iPhone first came out your options for a carrier were AT&T or AT&T so nice phone looks pretty but cant use it to make any calls.

jmelong - I've used a sprint smart phone for years and I've found that unless the programming on the phone is updated, it will drop calls. If your phone doesn't give that option, stop by a Sprint office and they'll do it for you. Maybe call first to make sure they can update your model.
The one issue I have with Toledo cell reception isn't the calling its the data. Data is absolutely terrible. I have a sprint and Verizon smartphones and while Verizon is better than sprint for data it still is a snales pace.
