Its been a few years since I last went, however the experience was good.
Is Sutherland a kind of big guy, really jovial?
Wonder if he's the same guy who used to be an orthopedic surgeon? Dr. named John Sutherland scoped my knee the first time way back about 1986. I heard later he didn't do orthopedic surgery anymore.
I know of the surgeon of whom you are speaking, Dr. Charles John Sutherland. No, Its not the same person. As I understand it, they are not even related despite the identical surname. Just an odd coincidence.
I go to either one of my Cousins. Mark Dumas or his Daughter Sarah at Well Balanced Chiropractic in Perrysburg

I have never been to a chiropractor, but I will keep this list in mind should I change my thinking.

go to a real doctor...there's a reason DOs don't do manipulation any more

Actually I went to a real doctor and his method didn't do crap for me. A few visits with my cousin and I was right as rain, so it all depends on your particular situation.

True, chiropractic doesn't work for everyone. But it can be a great help to some. Definitely worth a try.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys, I'm on the east Side but no averse to travel to get this fixed.
Justa, I know what is wrong and meds don't help, plus, I can't take that crap forever. I have congenital short leg syndrome, only about 1/4 inch off, but sometimes, I just get out of whack and need to get pushed back in whack, lol.
DO's don't do manipulation anymore because they were discouraged from practicing it when they started to get privileges at MD's hospitals. I used to work at Parkview and have had many manipulations from DO's all my adult life. Now they have gone over to the Dark Side and don't even teach it in their colleges anymore, they have become pill-pushers. :(
I had very good success a year or two ago with physical therapy when my back went on an extended period of agonizing pain. They started with a quick massage that had some elements of manipulation, then some stretching, then 20 minutes with heat and the traction machine that slowly stretches the lower half of your body (kind of like medieval rack torture, but without the pain).
Anyway, I started feeling better after about the first week (three sessions per week) and after a month I was much improved. They also taught me a series of exercises to stregthen the back muscles: I had underused and extremely tight hamstrings that caused me to overcompensate with my lower back muscles. Since that time I have not had any major back pain, which is a first for me, as I have had recurrent back problems for 25 years or more.
