I read in The Mirror newspaper not too long ago that it's Del Taco.

That's good news! Its close to my house. Soooo tired of Taco Bell for fast pseudo Mexican.

Del Taco - "awesome" Really? We've tried the one on Secor twice and it was the most disgusting, flavorless, dried out fast food we've ever had.
They must have REALLY stepped it up a notch.

Sorry you did not enjoy it, Foodie. As far as fast food goes, I find it to be very good quality... a step or two higher than Taco Bell. Del Taco grills their chicken fresh all day long, and the marinade is excellent. Try a chicken soft taco, if you haven't already. That is my fav. They grate their cheese and cook their refried beans fresh daily, too. It's cheap and delicious convenience food, and they're open 24/7 which fits my schedule. And no, I don't work there or own stock.
Well, I pass by it several times a week so I'll have to give them another try.
Looks like they are working on something at Conant where Fazoli's used to be too.

Thanks for the replies...yeah I am on the fence as far as Del Taco is concerned. The one on Secor isn't that old and the decor reminds me of something from the 80's. As far as the food goes, I wasn't real impressed. Have to give this one a try once it opens

Del Taco is crap. There are several near me in CA. If I crave good mexican fast food I try El Pollo Loco.
Word on the street is that the old Fazoli's is going to be a Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

I know I'm the odd man out on this chain but I remain less than impressed with 5 Guys. IMHO, much better burgers can be had locally and, the grocery bag of fries they give you are almost always just shy of being burnt. Lastly, I find them to be very pricey.
