Wonder what's going in there? The "SOLD" sign has finally appeared. A 13-acre parcel, I believe. Too small for Ikea or Whole Foods ;-)

I hear that a "super-mex" eating establishment will be placed there. A sort of Gastro-Mex place. Beans locally grown, Michigan cheese, Berky tomatoes, Rossford Tamales.

Don't joke about Mexican food on here. TTers love them some Mexican food.
Years back it was supposed to be a new hotel. I'm hoping for something more interesting than that.
Word on the street is that it's going to be a sports complex. It will have a hotel, waterpark, batting cages...ahh nevermind.
It's definitely going to be a casino. I know.

Tom Waniewski's newsletter tonight said that it will be a 120 unit hotel, retail space and possibly a restaurant. Whether it is a Mexican restaurant, I guess we will have to wait and see :)
I for one would welcome a decent hotel there. I work in the Westgate Building and we have frequent out of town guests. The three hotels sitting within a half mile of my office have all been ruled out by previous visitors and now everyone ends up staying out by Spring Meadows.
