in the past two weeks I find that my neighbor who was married to "Faatema" in March
with two children,Sarah,and Shedash". Sarrah is going to school at Owens studing
architecture at Owens and the son is going to the Jesuit school.
Their problem boils down to "THEY DO NOT HAVE "TWO CARS".!! So, the screwed up Gov.
Immigration people are saying "EITHER THEY GET A SPONSSER OR THEY "THE MOTHER AND CHILDREN WILL BE DEPORTED ON 09/20/2012"!
THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS THE SPONCER HAS TO HAVE MADE AND SHOW PROOF THEY MADE"$30,000 LAST YEAR.It will cost the sponcer "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" ALL your doing is standing up to sponcer someone, just like joining the Moose,Eagles,Masons,or Elks club. The father, is working 2 jobs in order to meet the financial burden that immigration requirement.

2.) Your post makes no logical sense, most likely because you have omitted facts (or do not know them).
3.) WTF does "they do not have 'TWO CARS'" mean? I have 2 masters degrees (one in Communication) and I'm stumped.
4.) Why are only the mother and children going back and not the father? Is he or is he not an immigrant?
5.) I remember your previous posts. You're a drama queen of the highest order.
6.) Why don't you ask people who know them rather than complete strangers on an anonymous chat board? Father--two jobs? It seems like his employer(s) might want to step forward?

It would appear that the $30,000 annual income for an immigration sponsor is not entirely accurate.
The immigration sponsor's income would need to be 125% of the federal poverty level based on the sponsor's household size.

Also, it is not accurate to say that a sponsor is just like sponsoring someone for the Moose, Eagles, Masons, or Elks.
If you sponsor someone for immigration and they file for public benefits (Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, TANF, etc.), the federal government can come after you to repay the benefit since you financially sponsored the immigrant.

Also noted in the above document, as a sponsor, you are legally required to notify UCIS of your new address every time you move as long as you are financially liable for the sponsored immigrant.
I find myself wondering how they got out of Iran the first time, and what happened to their original sponsor.

He had three shots at the word sponsor and blew each attempt, changed the spelling of Sarah in the middle of a sentence, we have no way of knowing the spelling of Faatema and Shedash, and this guy needs a serious lesson on using quotes. Where do you want me to begin? Most of these people are neurotic with psychotic episodes brought on by inflammatory statements and blatant contradictions to their own 'personal' moral standards, such as they are. Others are emotionally immature and not terribly bright. A few fall outside this ambit. McCaskey is generally pretty much okay. HistoryMike is a good sort. JR (who hosts the place) is an absolutely sterling example of modern man at his most civilized.

Have you read any of his previous posts? It's always some outlandish story or problem that seems to be missing key facts.. That would most likely be why the majority of the responses were negative.
So why don't brainswell and pete (who I agree with a majority of the time) step up and help him out.
I should note that I didn't link the government immigration sources to be insulting to blacjac.
Just wanted the info to be out there in case blacjac or anyone else actually did want to try sponsoring the family.

Owens has resources available to connect this family with agencies that might be able to offer assistance. They should contact their student adviser.

I'm familiar with his previous posts. I just don't see the point of posting here for the sole purpose of insulting someone. If I don't care for the topic of the thread, I don't post in it. I planned on ignoring this one until I saw all the vitriol.
What kind of reasoning says Pete and I should sponsor an Iranian family because we think someone who is trying to help them deserves some common courtesy? Are you just upset that Pete and I didn't join the mob and called you out for being assholes for no reason?
I'll give blacjac some advice. Most Iranians are of Persian ethnicity and follow Shia Islam. It's probably safe to assume this family falls into one of these categories. I also think it's most likely that a potential sponsor will be an immigrant or someone who is Iranian.
There is a Persian Students Association at the University of Toledo. Maybe they can be of assistance in finding a sponsor/attorney/political connection that can be of assistance.

I apologize if my post was "negative"...and I didn't think it was..., but...
...in the last go-round, those of us who honestly tried to help him the last time he posted a story (the Michigan drivers license thing) were left with a guy who listened to nothing anybody said (i.e. "get an attorney", "file ______ to get some relief", etc.). He just did his own thing anyway and supposedly got in more trouble.
It would be one thing if this guy was a complete stranger to the board. He's not. He has a history, as an above poster mentioned, of throwing POSTS THAT LOOK LIKE THIS ON THIS BOARD, giving scattershot details, then asking people for huge favors or advice...which he doesn't take anyway. It doesn't make any of us "negative" to look at something we've seen before and say "sorry, we're not falling for this act again."
