WSPD's only news voice/man Kevin Milliken, has taken a job out of radio and has left ehe building. I noticed today that he has not been replaced, no local news on the station at all now.
Says a lot about the public service part of the WSPD. I'm sure he didn't just up and leave without giving them time to replace him.
"News" missing from NewsTalk Radio

Doesn't Milliken quit WSPD ever couple of years?
WSPD gave up providing news years ago. The night of the tornadoes a few years back the most glaring example.
Listen to their commercials, it sound like they are geared to fat women hormonal women, men who ‘can’t get it up’, parents who kids hate them, people with bad backs and credit so bad the IRS is coming to get them at any moment. They want you to but any cash you have left and not owed to the IRS or the credit card companies into gold. People with that many problems simply don’t have time for the news.

Radio, as a whole, gave up on news a long time ago.
Many years ago, if you were out driving, and came upon stopped traffic somewhere, you could spin the radio dial and find at least one announcer or DJ talking about what was going on. Especially if it was on an expressway, or if it was a building on fire, or anything that would have come over a police scanner. When I was a kid, not only WSPD, but WOHO also was good at that kind of thing.
Now that every radio station is run by a computer, you can kiss that goodbye. Those days are LONG gone.
Clear Channel will find another newsreader from central casting. Panties...untwist...
