I'm surprised that this wasn't posted on here since other cash mobs have been. Today from 10 - 2 at their Glendale location.

well, crap, I never got the notification! Hope it went well!
That place is always busy. Why there? I thought the idea was to help infuse money into the biz?
Don't get me wrong - I love the place.

Molsonator, the only requirement is that it's a locally owned business. People submit suggestions and the location with the most that also is willing to do it, gets on the rotation.
Even busy places can use the marketing these days.
Nice. Agreed. ^^^

I used to live close enough to Wixey's so that the smell of their fresh baked goods would ride the breezes into my bedroom. (In my best Homer Simpson voice) Mmmmm...Wixey's donuts!
We went. Kolachies, eclaires, marble rye, spinach dip, bear claws, apricot fill cookies, noodles. Best eclaire I've had in many years. The spinach dip is a killer.
Their Baker's Eclair used to have about one inch of fudge frosting on the top. Decadent.
Hope it was more of a success than the one for Stanley's Market. That one was a flop.
How can someone learn of the outcome of a cash mob? When we went to Wixey's it was approximately 1:00pm and we were the only customers. Their shelves did look as though they may have experienced good customer traffic earlier in the day.
In the case of Stanley's, it was my own observation of being there twice that day. Then I followed up with the owner who confirmed what I saw - lots of prep on their part but no "mob" ever showed up.
Two cash mob organizers exist in Toledo.
Toledo Choose Local organized the August 4 cash mob at Stanley's Market.
Toledo Cash Mob on Facebook organized the one at Wixey's Bakery.
When we asked Wixey's they said they had been very busy! I was there at about 1:30 for about 15 minutes and there were at least 16 people in there.
Hopefully it did them so good. For me personally it was the first time I had ever gone in and I can tell you without a doubt that I will now go there when I need something decadent.
