Airport news?

Anyone hear of follow up on flights from Toledo Express to Fort Myers? Booking a hotel in Fort Myers and would like to add flights, preferably from Toledo.

Probably won't know anything for another week or two. Might know something by Friday as that is when the Airports Committee meets...I will report back then on any progress.

Any news from today's Port Authority meeting? Unfortunately they are shooting themselves in the foot by waiting so long to announce flights as plans are needed to be made.

Gunz - there was another airport (party) to the deal and they appear to have either backed out of the deal or are really dragging their feet. The deal would've actually been very good for the airport. Unfortunately, not to any fault of the Port's (this time) it sounds like this deal may be dead. Might know more early next week. Sorry .... =(

If you can give it another week, should know what is up by then.

Have tentative tickets out of Detroit on hold to midnite tomorrow. Price is too good to pass up. Unless TOL announces soon, I am a lost customer. Hard to believe most Christmas travelers haven't booked already.

Well, unfortunately flight plan from Toledo fell through according to the Blade. I know it's been discussed a while back, but any recommendations for shuttle service from Perrysburg to DTW?

Looks like Allegiant is finally announcing Toledo to Punta Gorda/Fort Myers this morning.

Just in time for spring break. That is good news!

Follow up to this. Allegiant's first flight was completely sold out and the rest of the upcoming flights look pretty strong as well.

It's amazing what happens when you put a strong route on an air carrier that knows what they are doing. Would not be shocked at all to see you guys get some added frequencies based on the demand they are seeing.

Booked a flight for early in April last week, at the time they listed only 4 seats remaining. Was cheaper than flying dtw and non stop vrs stop over in Atlanta from DTW.
