Need a restaurant with a small party room

Our church is going to have a dinner party for our volunteers. anyone know of a restaurant (west toledo/bedford area first choice, but we'll travel if someone has a good idea) with a room that the 16 of us could get?

It's hard to put together a table that big, and if we had a room it might be nicer.

How much is your church looking to spend, Billy? Is this a lower-budget affair, or are you willing to shell out $20 or more a person?

Check with the metroparks (depending on the time of your event)

HMike - last year we went to Shorty's ribs and just had a huge table. it was ok, but with the noise around us we could pretty much only converse with the folks near us - that or holler across the table.

of course we were also concerned with OUR noise bothering folks.

Manhattan's has a fantastic side room. Also check out The Grape Leaf Diner (on Angola), Real Seafood, and Bravo's. All delicious choices.

Not sure if you're opening to catering and hosting the party at your church. But if you are, Fred from Calvino's does an amzing job with catering. He's catered plenty of events for my wife before. stromboli, bread, salad, you name it. Depending on what you order the cost will change, but he is quite reasonable - between $5-$10 per person. You, of course will need to provide the silverware and plates.

Zacharya's restaurant has a private room that would hold 16. On Alexis, near Secor.

We used it a few years back after my son's baptism to take a few family members out to dinner afterwards.

Hit "post" too soon...

Re: Zacharya's

We needed to find a place with a private room at the last minute, because our other arrangements fell though. They were very accomodating of our group.

It isn't fancy/trendy/upscale, but they did a good job at a reasonable price. And the location would be right for you too.

Angelo's Northwood Villa has a private room. Great food - more high end pricing.

Also - Harbor Inn & Ale in off Laplaisance Road in Monroe. Doesn't have a private room - but they can set you back on your own. Great food - reasonable prices.

I was going to suggest Zacharya's, too.
We've used their room for free. We've held meetings in there. Noise from the restaurant area can't be heard.
Their food is decent, but like mom2 said, not too fancy.

Wei Wei's on Reynolds near Dorr St. Strictly Chinese. But arguably the best Chinese in Toledo.

All H J restaurants are closed.

The Black Pearl uses a lot of the menu items from HJ's and have rooms for private parties.

My husband's Scott Class of 1949 uses it frequently for a get together luncheon. Food is nice and price is not out of line.

Sidelines on Secor has a basement that they reserve for parties. You'd have the room all to yourselves.

The Black Pearl is managed by the same people that managed the Alexis road location that was HJ's prime cut. That is why the food is about the same as HJ's.

I would also like to say that noise is not a problem unless the people you are partying with are noisy.LOL!

The Hungry-I over on Holland-Sylvania has a private dining room.

I've been to Zacharya's on Alexis and the description above is accurate. The food is good, the service is good but the place is very casual.

We held a family party for about 25 people last year at Georgio's downtown. They had a secluded room that was the perfect size for the party. The per person $$$ for the event was comparable to any other restaurant around and the staff did a great job planning and setting up the evening from start to finish. Would highly recommend them for a party that size.
