Saltwater Restaurant at the MGM Grand in Detroit is closing. They are going to transform that space into a Wolfgang Pucks Pizzeria and Cucina per the article linked below. I really enjoy good pizza and have heard the name "Wolfgang Puck" for years but never been to their restaurant. Anybody been to a Wolfgang Pucks? Input? I've been really impressed with Pizzeria Biga in Southfield MI and Tomatoes A Pizza in Farmington Hills but just hate the long drives.
Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria to open at MGM Grand in Detroit

I've eaten a few times at the Wolfgang Puck Cafe in Costa Mesa, CA (I go to CA for business once per year) and found it "OK"... It's with in walking distance from where I'm at, but nothing special.
I've eaten both at his L.A. restaurant (maybe 7 - 8 years ago) and at his airport locations (Wolfgang Puck's express).
The L.A. restaurant was not worth the money, IMO. Food was well presented and was OK. Didn't blow me away, but it wasn't horrible either. Just kind of a "eh <shrug>".
The major airport locations are typical airport slop. My wife got sick after eating at the LAX terminal location. I'm betting the pizza place will be somewhere in the middle, because WP won't be there to hammer down on standards.
Might be a nice addition for the casino, but wouldn't make me drive up there to try it.

^^Ditto the above. My experience has been the same - WP's food is "OK" at best. Way over hyped and over priced.
Thanks for the feedback. As often as I had heard the name I could never recall anyone actually going there.
