Surprise - Cameo Pettaway arrested & charged with felonious assault

No real details available yet. Just that he was arrested in Oregon this morning and charged with felonious assault.

You'd think someone who was just on trial for double murder in July would maybe try to stay out of trouble for awhile.

Source?

I can't find any info on it. You say no real details available, to you have inside info? (police relative, etc?)

He is accused of beating her up.... sorry. Process and all that.

This is more of a rhetorical question, but what kind of dumbass "lives" with someone who was just charged with a double murder? I already know the answer, but it just blows my mind.

If the hypothetical bad guy has as many drug arrests as violence...a rhetorical answer would be an addict. An addict would live with someone who was charged with murder. An addict would be up still at 8am on a Sunday morning. An addict would get arrested for prostitution.
But that is all rhetorical.

My buddy is a cop, and he told me about a month ago that LE keeps an eye on this guy and knows what area he is in because he is that dangerous. Thanks, Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates, for releasing this pos back into our community. This won't be the last we hear of him. Someone innocent has to suffer because of him.

Let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe they were up late making anti-drug posters for the family non-profit. They probably got tired, and he was just a little bit irritable. He is that passionate about fighting drugs.
Thank you to our sponsors and donors. Have a hot dog.

Off of Dearborn near Navarre; south of 280, runs south to Pickle road near Sunoco.

Crap, I grew up in that neighborhood, just a few doors down. Sounds like it's not much of a neighborhood anymore.

I have friends who grew up on Mambrino. Their parents still live on that street. Creepy to think that Pettaway was staying that close to them.

I painted one of the bedrooms in that house back in the late 1960s. Creepy.

I live on Grasser St., which is a block over. This is way too close to home. The area in general is still quite nice. Let's hope the piece of shit gets thrown in jail for quite awhile for this.

Channel 13 is reporting that the girlfriend wants to drop the charges. (I'm posting from my phone & couldn't retrieve a link right now.)

I'm sure he didn't mean to break her eye socket. It was all a simple misunderstanding. <sarcasm>

Sadly, it sounds like it may only be a matter of time before she ends up dead at his hands.

...but he's a good boy, he's just misunderstood.

Maytee Clark has been an active participant on this story on WTOL's Facebook page. I wish I could back to a time before I knew who either one of these two were. But, seriously, I hope they lock the piece of shit up for a very long time.

According to The Blade article http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2012/07/29/Neighbors-host-party-to-raise-drug-awareness.html that justread posted:

"Mr. Baker (Pettaway's stepdad) said the event was organized before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates' decision Thursday to acquit Mr. Pettaway, but he also said it might serve as a homecoming for Mr. Pettaway after his release Thursday from jail. Mr. Pettaway did not attend the gathering, however, and he could not be reached for comment Saturday by telephone."

Hahahaha. That final sentence says it all. He could give a crap. I find it funny that Pettaway's relatives and friends said they were "shocked" by Bates' decision to let him go. Most likely because they know he was guilty. Who will be his next victim?

I think its shitty and funny at the same time how many times these stories have changed from the blade to the news and back again! Do any of you even know any of the people involved here on a personal level? I dont think any of you have the right to judge!

posted by stopthebs on Oct 26, 2012 at 05:58:22 pm     #

I think its shitty and not funny that sometimes people are raised with no conscience whatsoever. Shitty that they are allowed to walk the streets, racking up a dozen arrests for drugs and violence, specializing in felonius assault. Getting away with murder.
That's shitty and not funny.

We gained the right to judge when his "girlfriend" called the Oregon cops because he BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HER! We gained the right to judge when he was implicated in a horrific double murder. How fucking ignorant can you be to even try and defend this person? Look at his Facebook page, there are some fantastic pictures on there that give you a idea of what he's all about.

So its obvious that you are connected to ol Cameo or Ms. Rupert in some way. If it's to her, I suggest you get her help, because otherwise she's gonna end up dead one way or another.

6 years.

http://www.toledoblade.com/Courts/2013/04/22/Pettaway-gets-6-years-in-prison-for-assaulting-girlfriend.html

Perhaps "The System" didn't fail Ms. Rupert.

But will this hurt his family's anti-drug campaign?

At this point, 6 years is good. Better than nothing. Let's see how he likes getting a beat down in the slammer.

Let's see how he likes getting a beat down in the slammer.

Just by the way this saga has unfolded, he'll be segregated from gen pop due to his "mental deficiencies" and "substance abuse problems" (so, less likely beatings for ol' Cameo).

And in just a matter of months, he'll be sprung on probation and off to beat a new 'ho. Or maybe the same 'ho. Who 'ho knows...

I'm not a doctor, but it may just be his diet. It seem to me it could be something as simple as a lead deficiency. The best method of administering the proper dose is with a small caliber handgun placed just behind the ear. This often has a calming effect.
