Used Motor Oil?

I have about 7 gallons of used motor oil. Any idea where I can get rid of it? Thanks.

All of the big chain auto parts stores will take your oil. They then sell it to brokers who recycle it into heating oil and other products.

I use old motor oil for my electric chainsaw. I got tired of plopping new oil in the thing since it ate lube like candy.

Good to rule to live by. My brother's auto shop is heated with an oil burner so I take mine there, but I never talk about it.

Used motor oil is also good for patching up the cracks in your neighbor's blacktop driveway.

Any of these oil change shops will accept it. make sure the containers have a lid on them.
