Shred Free for a Toy

This is a great deal for both individuals and businesses!

On Saturday, December 1, from noon until 3 p.m., you can get five bags or boxes of documents securely shredded when you donate a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to the Lucas County Children Services Holiday Gift Drive.

The Shred Day event takes place at Burger King, 4870 Monroe St., Toledo (across from Westfield Franklin Park Mall).

This is a great way to clear (and securely dispose of) unwanted piles of old documents and at the same time, support the the Lucas County Children Services Holiday Gift Drive!

As you head out to shop on Saturday, load up those unwanted piles of bills and other documents and drop them off at the Monroe St. Burger King along with a new, unwrapped toy or gift card…you’ll clear out your clutter and help abused and neglected kids in Lucas County!

Not to be a killjoy, but the last thing I want to do is leave all my sensitive financial info at a fast-food parking lot on that corner of Monroe Street.

Don't they have secure shredder trucks at these kinds of events that shred everything before you leave?

This will really help me clear out some clutter before the holidays. Thanks for the link!

@Viola, yes...Allshred brings their secure shredder trucks to the location. They periodically do this as a charitable event in communities they serve. If you need more assurance, their website is allshredservices.com.

^ Great, thanks. I have a small box of shreddables and I'd be happy to get it done for the price of a new toy!
