Lake Erie Center Lectures

I've been to a few talks at the Lake Erie Center on Bayshore Road and I always learn something new about the geography and natural history of our area. This Thursday (1/17), there's a talk at 7:00 p.m. on Ballast Water and Invasive Species.

February's lecture is 2/21: A River that Runs Through Toledo (and Point Place);
March 21st is Ecosystem Restoration from the Everglades to the Great Lakes;
and the April lecture (4/18) is Harmonizing Humans and Nature for the Changing Globe.

Admission to the lecture is free, and sometimes the grad students bring cookies.

We're going to make an East-side-centric night of it, have dinner first at Sonny Berry's supper club, or Tom's BBQ, or possibly Packo's.

Oregon Inn is practically across the street, I like it there over Bayshore Supper Club... just another option.

Thank you Viola.
Am a FB friend of the center, but didn't get around to seeing their schedule.
The center does a lot of good for the area, including outreach.

Sparky, thanks for the reminder! I was there once a few years ago and it was really good.
