Bandit's Smokey Ribs Food Truck on Reynolds

Stopped by the food truck which appears several times a week at a car wash on Reynolds Road (at Darlene Drive). It's a 2-person business, very friendly. Burgers and barbecue. I tried the ribs and they were toothsome, very flavorful but not falling off the bone. Definitely a knife-and-fork meal.

The pulled pork was kind of wet, but still delicious. I suspect the side orders (potato salad and slaw) are probably from giant food service tubs, but the baked beans were wonderfully seasoned. Meat portions were very generous and the homemade BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet, with a little kick. The proprietor also keeps some atomic-level hot sauce for those who dare.

Call 419-480-7575 or email banditssmokeyribs @ yahoo for info about the schedule. Or just pull over when you see them.

In the summer there is often a taco truck at the corner of Reynolds and Angola. I’ve seen it parked in the Kroger’s parking lot at McCord and Angola as well.

Had both the Bandits ribs and the El Toro food trucks. The Bandits ribs had it 2 times to see if it changed depending on days and it's okay but not something I would go out of my way to eat or would crave. It's not bad either just average ribs with a little bit of chew on it and that might be from: temp of grill, type of grill, or the type of meat used.

El Toro was a bit disappointing for me more so then the Bandits. Maybe i was expecting to much from them since I was hoping for cali style food truck mexican food. Would have to put El Toro as a non-repeat place but worth trying one time to fill curiosity.
