Wild game meat/dishes

Is there a place in the Toledo area where I can get wild game meat/prepared dishes that I could take to a party? Thanks in advance.......

We were looking to do "big game" for Xmas but it was just too cost prohibited. You can pick up buffalo at multiple locations around town. Buffalo chili or get buffalo steaks and make kabobs.

I’d also recommend goat – cheap and easy to get around town. Bring a leg of goat to a party and amaze your friends. You could also go with kabobs or a goat stew as well.

Just some thoughts…

Where can you purchase goat around town? I'd give it a try. Some nice Jamaican recipes call for it.

I know one of the middle eastern markets over by UT has goat. Or at least did a few years ago when I was in there.

(also, speaking of Jamaican but going a different direction than butcher shops, Dexters on Bancroft by Upton has a few goat dishes. I'd recommend that place to ANYone, especially if you appreciate a little heat in your dishes)

Nothing around Toledo. The closest one would be 45 min away:

Beaver Creek Tackle and Beer Co.
1609 N Wayne Rd
Westland, MI 48185

They also have many 3 - 4 other locations all a bit different. There other place I have been to many times is:

Deadwood Bar & Grill
18730 Northville Rd
Northville, MI 48167

The Arab meat market by UT (on Door, at Secor) does sell goat. I cook a leg of goat every year or so.

Here is my last one (10 lbs) – I followed this recipe almost exactly and took a couple of pics:

I realize this is a day old, but the Mexican Market by the Hi-Level Bridge downtown often carries goat - it's a traditional Mexican meat, though most people don't think of it as such.

Real beef? Do you eat fake beef?

I've always found goat to taste more like lamb.
