Need to rent a big roll-off, got any recommendations? thx.
Anybody rent a dumpster lately?

I have had two bad experiences with HAI. I would look into the Trash Taxi. Not a traditional dumpster, but I've found them to be accommodating and competitively priced.

What's the company with the phone # of 666-6666...I see them all over.
I highly recommend these people. I used their services when I had to clean out my sister's house:
Call C. S. Burge, Inc. today at 419-476-7073, 419-478-4015, or toll-free 866-477-2983 to find out what size container you would need. If you have any other questions or comments,
Sensor,
I believe that's HAI. Personally I've used them for personal use and dad used them for his houses when he was building. Neither of us had any problems.

i've never had a problem with HAI. Got delivery and pick-up within an hour and a half of calling last time. 666-6600 if i remember right.
We called HAI, they never called us back after 2 tries. Read some disturbing reviews about extra charges and belligerence and we decided to ask around. They have medium sizes that might fit our project better, WM and Republic have either too large or too small. Deeds not done yet so please add anything you can. I have a budget of $200, they extra fees thing scares me. Too much stress going on right now to add to it if I don't have to. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
Have you tried calling during the week?? If not that's when I always called. I even got a few extra days free because I needed it over a weekend.

Nana, both times I used them I was charged extra. The second time I got rudely lectured by someone on the phone. I wasn't a rookie either. At the time the company I was with was ordering at least one dumpster a week. We tried HAI twice. That was it.
I want to say we used ABC dumpsters, but I don't see them in the online search.
I recently used HAI. They had a weekend special. IIRC, I got a 10 yard dumpster for $159. No problems or extra charges at all.
The only time I got a extra charge from them is when I went over the top of the dumpster and we already knew we would be getting it.

We've used several companies in the past, but now we use HAI exclusively.
Huh, really mixed bag of reviews here, just like elsewhere online.
We're actually thinking that Trash Taxi might be the best way to go. The house we're clearing out is on a narrow East Side street with on-street parking. It has a driveway but it's short and close in to the houses, which is typical in this area. The more we read, the more it sounds like a roll-off truck would not be able to back into the driveway at all, there are low wires running across the driveway apron, there's NO space for the truck to line up to back up the drive, and the conditions around the house are not conducive to on-street placement. Trash Taxi is on wheels and is smaller so it could be placed parallel to the street in the yard or might be easier to get backed into the drive. We're going to call them tomorrow and see about sizes and conditions, they don't have a website that I could find.
I'm about ready to leave more than 50 bags of trash for the landlord to handle, not sure what other choice we would have if we can't get some kind of dumpster in there. :/
Slowsol, thanks for the estimate. We were thinking 10 or 12 and I was going to go for 12, just in case. It's like renting a Uhaul, it's so hard to know how/if your shit is gonna fit. We really do have more than 50 large trash bags already and we're probably about 3/4 done. There might be a bit of furniture, too, not sure. Would like to get it all in one load but if we have to go smaller (see above), we may not be able to.
I used waste management, they were a bit more expensive but the "fees" were waived for payment up front and extra days were only $10 per day. I think the original 5 days we asked for was like $200-$250.
I've used HAI in the past and plan on using them again once spring rolls around. Fair prices, quick drop off and pick up.

Just hooked up with Trash Taxi, 15cy for $230, he's dropping it off Thursday afternoon. Thank you, slowsol, we had never heard of this business before, but it's perfect for our situ! :)
No problem. Pretty unconventional, but perfect for some situations.
