Super Bowl Predictions?

I say 49ers 31, Ravens 27 in a close battle. Colin Kaeppernick will lead a game-winning drive in the final minutes and be the MVP.

Also, the Puppy Bowl will reach new highs in audience levels and rise to an unforeseen plateau of cuteness that will bring world peace and perpetaul harmony among all living creatures, world without end, Amen.

Oh, and I predict at some point this thread will get hijacked by agenda-driven ideologues and get buried in the Politics forum. :-)

I agree with the 49'ers. The Puppy Bowl statement just tickles me. I love it.

Tough call, I want the Niners to win so I'll just go with HM. The Puppy Bowl will have a combined final score of eleventy billion in cuteness.

I have two answers for you HM. I do agree that it will be a close game and if I'm only picking who will win, I'll go with the 49ers as well. But instead of a comeback win, I think a Ravens comeback will fall just short.

Now for the second (gambling) answer. The current line on the game is S.F. giving four points with an over/under of 48. So, if sports gambling were legal in Ohio, I would put money on the Ravens and the over.

I do like the over, RBancroft: I suspect that there will be some significant aerial fireworks in this game, despite the defensive reputations both squads have. Both teams are also quite capable of special teams and defensive TDs, and it only takes one of those to wreck the under bet.

I predict a comfortable win for Baltimore in a lackluster game, except for Ravens fans.

Bal 35
SF 14

BTW, Cleveland sports fans and media are celebrating today their first championship in decades. A victory parade through downtown is scheduled for Noon tomorrow.

As a long-suffering Lions fan (48 years and counting without a title) I hope you are wrong, Linecrosser, but one of the few things still on my bucket list is that elusive Lions championship. I have lived long enough to see championships from the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, Michigan basketball, and Michigan football (albeit the annoying 1997 first-place "tie" with Nebraska), but the Lions continue to punish me for being a faithful fan.

Taking the niners, giving the points...and taking the over.

Additional bet that a beagle wins the MVP of the puppy bowl.

Celebrating the victories at a mexican restaurant.

Ravens 34 - 49ers 31: Maybe I should have put some money on this contest...

I wonder how much it cost the betters when Baltimore took a safety at the end of the game. The final score did not meet the spread.

Glad I do not gamble.

San Fran was giving points, no effect. The OVER was already covered. People with SB Squares had to be livid.
