Toledo Talk

Auto shops - South Toledo - Maumee

Can anyone recommenda reliable auto shop in South Toledo or Maumee? We have a couple of 11 year old vehicles that need some work, a PT Cruiser with a fluid leak. We have been thinking of taking it to Beverly Auto on Detroit and Rugby.

Bruce Early's Automotive
Address: 932 Holland Park Blvd, Holland, OH 43528
Phone:(419) 868-9033

The man that runs the place is named Pat. He is one of the most thorough and detailed mechanics I have met and he is fair. If you have a minor issue he will not make it a major issue to charge you more. I mostly do pre-maintenance there but have had one or two regular issues and they were great. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Our vehicles are about the same age and we use Beverly Auto for both our cars. Larry (who also has a shop in Rossford) has always been fair with us.

Great experiences with Larry at Beverly Auto. After taking him vehicles for several years, I won't consider taking them anywhere else. A bonus is that he has a lift specifically for specialty/sports/exotic cars and a lift that will accomodate one ton trucks. Never problems. Always priced fairly.
Have sent 5 or 6 people there.

I vote Beverly Auto. My alternative place for auto repair is Masons Auto Repair, Airport Hwy near Byrne.

I've had mixed results with AWTM. They said I had a leak in my air conditioner, but I didn't. They also said I did not have an oil leak, but I did and had to have it fixed elsewhere. I think they are honest, but perhaps just very busy and misdiagosed the problems.

I've had fairly good luck with Earl Bros. off Conant. They hardly charged me for installing brakes because I bought the parts from Auto Zone. Also got free estimates after getting a thorough check. Puts the car on the lift to show you what's going on. I haven't been with them long, so I don't know their reputation, but I plan to go back to them. They have coupons on their website monthly, so you may want to check to see if you can get discounts.

We got the PT Cruiser back from Beverly Auto today. Great experience. It was the cleanest auto shop that I had ever been to. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hubby was happy with service and labor costs. Very easy to work with. We are planning to use Beverly for work on the Ford F-150 next.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations.
