2013 Lenten Fish Fry suggestions

There is an old thread on this from a few years ago, so I thought I'd start a new one for this year.

Anyone have any recommendations for where to go this Lent for a great fish dinner?

Thanks!

Saint Rose in Perrysburg, great food and all you can eat. But even I have a hard time finishing 1 plate, especially with a bowl of chowder :)

215 E Front St, Perrysburg, OH 43551

Money also goes (believe 50/50) to the local cub scouts who volunteer and Knights of Columbus.

I was looking for this info the other day and found this link: http://www.toledodiocese.org/index.php/cyss/csi/354-lenten-dinnersfish-fry-information

I have heard good things about the St Augustine fish fry in Napoleon, but that's a hike.

Last Friday I went to the fish fry at St. George's Antiochan Cathedral on Woodley Rd. The food was delicious and not greasy. $8 for adults.

Friday, Mar. 2 Little Flower Church will have their's. It's in the James O'Grady Hall on Olymphia near Dorr. That one usually draws a big crowd- expect to stand in line about 15 minutes.

I second the St. Pius X fish fry. All you can eat cracker breaded Alaskan pollock or baked tilapia, fires or baked potato, mac and cheese, applesauce, cole slaw, roll, butter, drink, dessert. All
of this for only $8; $7 for seniors and $5 for juniors under 12. Carry-out and drive
through options are available. http://www.saint-pius.org/map.htm

Also, be sure to buy a 50/50 raffle ticket from the redhead! She always sells the winner! (And now I will stop talking about myself in the third person. :-D)

Correction the fish fry at Little Flower Church; it's on Friday, Mar. 8, and another one on Mar. 22. Sorry about the mistake.

any comments one way or another about the Conn Weisenberger legion hall on alexis?

We went there years ago. They beer-battered the fish, which to me is like making the customers play a game of "find the fish nugget in all this breading." Didn't go back.

Went to St. Pius tonight and it was packed.

The fish was great and I so glad to meet you Anniecski! My son wants to back next week.
